no convicto have been sent from Housing to the Straits Settlements Since 1856;

no Houstong convicts remain in the Straits since January, 1872; and I wd. Send copies of the Hongkong Respate Le 3 12261/70, 2918/71, and 7265/73 information. The Treasury will thems

lewm all the circumstances of the case Wt in my opinion render it impossith that we should claim buck payments from Hongkong for these convicts.
